MTS का Full Form ” Multi Tasking Staff (मल्टी टास्किंग स्टाफ)” होता है। हिंदी में इसे मल्टी टास्किंग स्टाफ ही कहते है। एमटीएस को SSC MTS के नाम से भी जाना जाता है जिसका पूरा नाम “Staff Selection Commission Multi Tasking Staff” होता है।
What is MTS?
Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) is also known as SSC MTS (Non-Technical Examination). This exam is conducted by Staff Selection Commission (SSC) all over India. The selected candidates in this examination are provided jobs by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) on the basis of merit in government departments and government ministries.
If seen, MTS employees are a major part of the bureaucracy who are placed in government offices through this exam. Through this examination, Group C posts lying vacant in government offices are filled.
Essential Qualification for MTS
Some essential qualifications have been determined by the government for the job on this post which is as follows-
(a) Candidate must have passed 10th (Matriculation) from any recognized university.
(b) It is mandatory for the candidate to be an Indian citizen to apply for MTS.
(c) The age of the applicant applying for MTS should be between 18 to 25 years.
Apart from this, the reserved category candidates get age relaxation from the government, which is as follows –
(e) PWD (Disabled) category candidates get ten years relaxation in age limit.
(f) OBC category people get three years relaxation in age.
(g) There is an age relaxation of five years for the ST/SC category people.
SSC MTS Exam Pattern
The MTS exam is conducted in two phases; the first phase is computer-based online, and you are given 90 minutes to solve the questions, in which you are asked multiple-choice questions. This paper is of 100 marks. The reserved category would get 30 minutes more time than the unreserved category.
Whoever clears the first paper has to appear in the second paper. The second paper of MTS is descriptive in which candidates have to write an essay or a letter. In this paper, a short essay or letter has to be written in English and other languages , which are included in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution. This paper is of 50 marks, and half an hour is given to solve this paper. Apart from this, in the PWD category, people get 45 minutes. The second paper of MTS is offline.
After the completion of both the papers of MTS, the Staff Selection Commission releases a merit list. After document verification, one gets a job in a government office.
Which jobs are available in MTS?
MTS is a government job in which candidates get the post according to their qualifications. There are mainly three posts in MTS, and candidates get jobs in these posts. These posts are as follows –
(a) Multi-tasking (Non-technical) Staff
(b) Group C (Non-Gazetted)
(c) Non-ministerial post
Under Multi-tasking (Non-technical) Staff, Group C (Non-Gazetted), and Non-Ministerial posts, MTS employees are assigned various types of tasks according to the posts, which are as follows-
(a) watchman or ward duty
(b) cleaning the office
(c) To perform the tasks assigned by the officers.
(d) Opening and closing the office and cleaning the office
(e) Maintaining essential documents of the department.
(f) photocopying and faxing
(g) Driving vehicles.
If you are an ITI or Diploma holder, then you also have to do the work related to the work given by the officers of the department etc.
MTS Employee Salary
The salary of MTS employees is 5200 – 20,200 per month, and along with it, the grade pay is also Rs 1800.
